There is an exposed anchorage in the northern part of the outer harbor, Rade Carnot.
Marinas:
Bolougne Marina is divided into 3 basins, but only two are suitable for visiting yachts: the outer harbour accesible at all states of tide and 24 hours a day with approx. 70 visitor berths; and Napoleon Basin accessed via a tidal gate and a much quieter option if staying for more than a couple of days. All services are available.

The Cruising Association report that the French Channel port of Boulogne is claiming to no longer be a port of entry as they have no offi-cials locally to process arrivals and departures and warn that some arrivals have been recom-mended to travel by train to Calais for processing. Beware of thieves! Our fishing gear was stolen from the boat deck from the rod holder while we were asleep 18.-19.6. Unfortunately, we only realized what had happened when we were already at open sea and couldn’t get back.
