Barneville-Carteret - Facts

Description:

Situated in Normandy, La Manche, this harbor offers good shelter from Cap de Carteret and is just a stones throw from the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. It faces Jersey (Channel Islands). The marina was completely renewed and expanded in 2021. There is a boatyard with a 30 ton lift just south of the port.

Entrance Notes and Cautions:

The entrance channel is clearly marked, with traffic signals to enter the tidal basin. The drop down door opens PM +/- 2h30 on average. Tide scale on the red beacon. Priority for incoming vessels.

The current at the door is very strong immediately after opening. It's recommended to wait 30 minutes before entering or leaving.
