Gruissan-Neuf - Facts

Dec 31, 2018

Description:

Just 30nm southwest of Sete, this sheltered port is a practical alternative as a place to over-winter or to haul out to do work on the boat. It lies just 5 miles from Narbonne. This once small fishing village is now a tourist resort and the harbor has been extended into the salt flats. The old village of  Gruissan is an attractive place with its winding cobbled streets.

Gruissan is often referred to as "gruesome" due to the strong winds here, especially in the winter, but they are normally gone in a few days.

Position:

43° 06.55' N, 3° 08.22' E (harbour entrance)
