St Malo - Clearance

Jun 13, 2024

St. Malo Clearance Info.

This is a Port of Entry.

See the main Noonsite/France/Formalities page for full details for Clearance.

The PAF/Douane office for international checking in and out is located mid-way between the two St. Malo marinas.

If you are entering from another Schengen country no clearance procedures are necessary.

International Entry:

If you are entering from outside Schengen the pre-arrival PAF form can be downloaded, completed and emailed as a PDF (which can be downloaded here) to:

  • dipn35-paf-spafp-uct@interieur.gouv.fr; and
  • ddtm-dml@ille-et-vilaine.gouv.fr

Send an email to ports@saintmalo.plaisance.bzh to announce your arrival.

The skipper and all crew must present themselves to the St. Malo border police. On arrival follow signs to the car ferry. Ignore the first booth and continue to the 2nd booth where this a Frontier Police officer. He/she will stamp your passports. The marina can advise.

International Departure:

On departure contact the port office with your intention to depart, and complete the departure section of the PAF form and email it to the addresses above.

The skipper and all crew must go to the Frontier Police office - a brown building close to the car entrance to the Condo Ferries. At the first booth turn left and ring the doorbell. A policeman will take the PAF form and passports and return them stamped. You won't be asked when you are leaving.

See this news article for more details on the new entry/exit scheme in which St. Malo is participating.
