The Champion supermarket is a 10-minute walk from the Vieux Bassin. There is also a Carrefour market a few minutes from the inner basin. Take the Rue de la République road at the end of the marina. The shop is about 300m away.
There are street markets on Thursday and Saturday mornings in Place Ste-Catherine and a fish market on Quai Tostain.
On Wednesday mornings there is an organic market on Quai Lepaulmier.

At this time July 19 this page was last updated 3 years ago. Lots of outdated information. Bridge opening times are incorrect. Check their website for current information. The Vieux Bassin now has finger pontoons for visitors. Excellent if you want to be in the action, not so good if you like peace and tranquility.
