Where is Westray?

Westray is one of the northerly islands of the Orkneys with a resident population of about 600.  The main village is Pierowall, with a heritage centre, the 15th-century Lady Kirk church and pedestrian ferry service to nearby Papa Westray island.

Westray, known as 'The Queen O' The Isles' has many historic sites, nature reserve, sandy beaches and eating places serving fresh local seafood. Watch the gannets diving off Noup Head, visit the 16th century Notland Castle or see nature at its best on the West Westray Walk.
