Fort William - Docking

Mar 02, 2017

The anchorage off the pier is exposed from SW, through N to NE winds.

There is now a pontoon at Fort William which is convenient for the town. There are also plans for a marina to be built close to the canal entrance.

Inside the canal is more sheltered and off Corpach Basin might be more sheltered. There is a waiting pontoon for boats entering the canal. See Caledonian Canal for more details on the sea locks and the canal.
