River Tyne - Docking

Mar 10, 2017

Although not the shipbuilding centre it once was, the River Tyne is a very busy waterway and there are no really safe anchorages here.

There is a marina close to the river entrance at North Shields and another two at Newcastle itself.

An alternative berthing can be found at Blyth, about 10nm north of the entrance to the Tyne or at Sunderland about 7nm south.
