LPG containers of the non-UK standard are difficult to refill and for longer stays, it is advisable to change over to the British (Calor gas or Camping Gaz) type bottles. Camping Gaz is widely available in chandleries, camping and hardware stores.

The St Katherine Docks Marina on the Thames in London is wide open to visitors, and usually has slips available. There are a lot of available berths for those wishing to have a six month winter contract. http://www.skdocks.co.uk A few boats have already booked for this coming winter. Gus Wilson, Ocean CruisingClub port officer (who gets nothing but goodwill from the marina for posting this).
