Phone and Internet

Due to logistical factors like remoteness, St Helena hasn't been able to make technological advancements (like telephone, banking and internet services) at the same pace as elsewhere in the modern world. Fortunately, internet prices and speeds have improved dramatically over the last couple of years, allowing both locals and visitors greater accessibility to the internet. This development is thanks to the landing of the Equiano undersea fibre optic internet cable.

A local sim card costs £6.50 and pre-paid internet is £3 per GB.
