PNG is most famous for its colourful, cultural festivals which take place in highland villages, usually during August and September.  The main festivals are:

  • Sepik Crocodile Festival.
  • National Mask Festival.
  • Baining Firedance Festival.
  • The Enga Cultural Festival.
  • Kenu and Kundu Festival.
  • Mount Hagen Show.
  • Goroka Show.
