Anchorages around Ua Huka

Baie de Vaipae:

This is a narrow anchorage between high cliffs which can be dicey in SE winds.  However, cruisers report that the further you go into the bay, the calmer it becomes.

If the Aranui cargo ship is due, it will tie to both cliffs and block you in or out of the harbor for the day.

If space is available, boats may come alongside the quay.
