Abrolhos Reefs - Clearance

Jul 16, 2019

On arrival, call "Farol de Abrolhos" (the park ranger) on VHF Channel 16. They will instruct you where to pick up a mooring buoy or possibly anchor.

Visitors may not land on either the islands or the reefs without a ranger being present.

There used to be a charge per person for mooring here, as well as a charge to tour the island, however latest reports are that the rangers don't ask for any money. Be sure to check however and be prepared to pay should a fee be requested.

It is also possible to visit the Navy base and lighthouse with prior arrangement.
