Philippines - Communications

Dec 11, 2025

International Dialing Code for the Philippines is +63.

A prepaid Philippines SIM card with an international cell phone is most convenient and economical. All incoming calls in the Philippines are FREE, regardless of where they originate. The Philippines SIM card provides service across the Philippines through domestic roaming. Pay the local rate for local calls and use a cellular phone in the Philippines.

All mobile phone networks (Globe, Smart, Sun (sister of Smart)) support mobile data, although data can be slow in some areas.

Mobile phone signal is pervasive in almost all areas close to habitation and up to 10NM offshore, although some remote areas may be limited to one or the other mobile phone networks [get around this by carrying a phone with dual-SIM – Globe & Smart for example]. The general rule is: if you can see a tower and have more than 2-bar of signal strength you can probably communicate, using voice, SMS and data.

You can buy load for your mobile phone in almost every village store in every corner of the country.
