Note: ATMs can only be found in Puerto Princesa. You can also get money with Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard) from hotels or shops but they will charge you 8%+.
Moneychangers can be found in Puerto Princesa and major villages.
Sending or receiving money can be achieved via Moneygram and Pawnshop in major villages.

Feedback from cruisers recently clearing out of Puerto Princesa for Kudat (Malaysia Borneo):
As we wanted to see the west coast of Palawan, we sailed down to Ulugan bay and took a Taxi to Puerto Princesa. Left one person on the boat at anchor (have left my boat without anyone aboard few years back with no problems as well).
First step is to get quarantine clearance. It’s housed in a tiny building off PQQ3+RRX, Rizal Avenue, Puerto Princesa, 5300 Palawan, next to the airport. Only takes 10-15 minutes and costs nothing.
Next step is Immigration which is located on the second floor of the Robinsons Mall. They dont need the whole crew to be present, and it took us approx 30 min wait to get papers stamped.
Third step is to go to Customs. As they have a new rule that they need to board each vessel, it would be a good practice to contact them in advance. We were not aware of this, but we ran into very helpful staff of Customs, which simply came with us to Uluguan bay to make boat inspection and issue clearance.
Clearance cost was 2500 pesos + transport back for the officer. All institutions very polite and helpful.
Thanks so much for the post being trying to get this infomation for a while but no one replies to call or emails in Palawan.
