Namibia Yachting Essentials

Electricity:

  • Voltage: 220 V
  • Frequency: 50 Hz

Water:

Drinking water is safe to drink throughout Namibia. Drinking water is piped 180 kms (112 miles) from deep desert wells to Luderitz. At Walvis Bay Yacht Club be sure you are using the correct tap for drinking water as some only provide water suitable for watering etc.

Fuel:

Neither of the ports has a convenient fuel berth, so fuel has to be jerry jugged from a service station, some of which require a taxi ride.

LPG:

Propane is available from hardware stores.
