Whilst waiting to use the slipping facilities at this dockyard, cruisers advise (September 2011) it is wise to anchor off rather than use the marina further upstream. A number of boats have sustained damage at this marina due to wash from the fast, fully loaded fishing boats.

The boat suffered quite a bit of deterioration whilst hard standing in Prospect Dockyard due mainly to government boats being sandblasted, and in some cases right next to us. Anyone wishing to haul out here would be wise to check in advance, in case sandblasting is scheduled.
