Bintulu - Facts

Sep 05, 2017

Description:

Bintulu is located midway along the northern coast of Borneo. It is about 300nm east of Kuching. This is the best place to make the inland trip to the Niah Caves.

This harbour is a good stop-off point for vessels travelling between Sabah and Kuching in Sarawak. It is a commercial port but the harbour police make yachts very welcome.

There are two dredged channels (N channel & S channel). Both are very well buoyed, and all the marks are lit.

Position:

03°11.42'N, 113°01.33'E (Kemena River entrance)
