Lebanese pound of 100 piastres.

There is a very high rate of inflation in Lebanon and the local currency is losing value on a daily basis.

Only US$ are accepted here.

Banks and foreign exchange outlets can close for prolonged periods without notice during protests.

ATMs may have daily limits on withdrawls - Lebanese pounds only. Getting hold of US dollars is difficult.

Many companies no longer accept credit/debit cards, so make sure you carry enough cash.
