Lahewa (Nias) - Docking

Jan 31, 2024

Entering via the northwest entrance, stay close to the shore to the east as you first enter the reef. Rocks are visible off the point on the western side of the outer entrance. The channel then curves to the east and deepens. Lahewa Bay then opens to the south. Anchor in 7 - 18m on a mud bottom with good holdiing.

The Harbour Master may be able to help with fuel.

Other harbours on Nias are exposed and fuel may be more difficult to obtain.
