Bora Bora - Clearance

May 27, 2025

See the French Polynesia Clearance page for full details.

All recreational vessels entering and leaving French Polynesia must use the Declaration of Entry and Exit of Pleasure Craft online form.

Clearing out of French Polynesia is much easier here than in Papeete as the Gendarmerie is immigration, port and customs, all rolled into one, which saves a lot of running around. Once clearance has been granted you have 24 hours to leave, compared to "before midnight" in Papeete. The gendarmerie is open 7 days a week.
