Vis Port (Vis) - Docking

Jul 11, 2019

This is a port popular with Italian yachts and charter fleets, so early arrival is advised to obtain a berth.

Town Quay:
Berth stern-to on the SW side of the harbor. There are water and electricity on the quay. There are several bars and restaurants here. This quay fills up by early afternoon.

Moorings:
There are mooring buoys to the east of the harbor.

Other Options:

The bay to the NW of town, with a small boatyard at the end, has some moorings that are used by flotillas during the season. It can get noisy here as the charter fleets use both the moorings and anchor on the north side of the bay with lines ashore.

If a quieter berth is preferred, moor to the quay at the village of Kut where the shelter is better in a southwesterly.

There are several anchorages in the outer bay but ensure your anchor penetrates the weed. Anchoring is not permitted in the inner bay.
