Hope Town (Elbow Cay) - Facts

Nov 15, 2017

Located towards the northern end of Elbow Cay, Hope Town is easily identified by its red and white striped lighthouse. This is a famously attractive little town where no cars or golf carts are allowed.

Hurricane Dorian September 2019:

Hope Town was devastated by Hurricane Dorian.

The entire inner harbor had many buildings completely wiped out, including the Harbor Lodge and Captain Jacks.

Lighthouse Marina sustained major damage to the docks, buildings, and boatyard. Very few boats survived the wrath of Hurricane Dorian. The marina is, however, providing fuel to the Island and updates are posted on the marina listing.

Further south on Elbow Cay, Sea Spray Marina and resort were completely wiped out.
