Oct 29, 2025

This is an official Port of Entry.

See the Yemen Formalities page for full details of clearance.

Clearance Procedures

Boats heading to - or coming from - the Red Sea have been able to make short stops here with minimum formalities. Maximum stay is three days without a visa. Yachts report friendly officials.

Contact Captain Salim Omer (WhatsApp +967 736 681 279) the day before you arrive with pictures of all the crew passports.

Customs and immigration offices are in the commercial harbor near the jetty.

Shore passes must be obtained from Immigration office by the port gate every time you leave the port.

If asked to provide a clearance certificate from your previous port, make sure you get a replacement when you leave.

Arrive with US cash as it appears there are no ATMs.
