Shi’ir - Docking

The entrance is not always possible, especially in the SW monsoons and even in the NE season, if there is a swell the entrance is not for the fainthearted.  Minimum depth 2.2 meters.

This is a small anchorage with no pontoons.

The Yemeni Fish Co charge US$150 per boat per visit. It may be possible to negotiate down to US$100, if lucky.

There is also a daily charge depending on the size of the boat.

Up to 10 meters -  US$5 per day

10 to 20 meters - US $10 per day per boat.

You are not permitted to leave the port. If in need of unexpected repairs, this could be a good option.
