Puerto La Cruz - Docking

Jan 08, 2020

The marinas are the only safe places to berth here. There are several to choose from.

Anchoring is not advisable for safety reasons.

Due to several fatal boating accidents in the El Morro Lagoon area, the local authorities have implemented a number of regulations to be followed if using a dinghy in this area. The Costa Guardia may stop and fine you if you are not compliant. All occupants of dinghies should be wearing life preservers and proof of ownership of the dinghy and outboard should be on board. Ask for the latest copy of the rules on arrival as they are subject to change.
