Description:
The town, archipelago and peninsula of Ayvalik lie immediately to the east of the Greek island of Lesvos on Turkey's north Aegean coast. Surrounded by groves of olive trees which reportedly produce much of Turkey's best olive oil, Ayvalik is 151km (94 miles) north of Izmir and 163km (101 miles) south of Canakkale.
Cruiser Highlights:
Many waterside open-air restaurants in summer in the town or across the bay on Alibey Island. Several Orthodox churches which have been converted to mosques and some graceful old mansions converted into boutique hotels.

Ayvalik Setur Marina
In 2016 in June we stayed for 2 nights at a cost of 278TL.
In 2017 in June for 2 nights, the price has gone up to 448TL, an increase of about 60%.
It seems that more the Turkish economy suffers the higher the prices are!
