Daily flights (except Sundays) from Tongatapu's domestic airport. Cost about $145 one way.
Two weekly ferries to/from Tongatapu; the MV Olovaha (Phone: 23853) and the MV Pulupaki (Phone: 23855). The journey takes up to 20 hours and costs around $60 one way. Schedules often changed at short notice and departure times can be in the early hours. See www.tongaholiday.com for timetables.

A few of us have sailed through Ha’aipai and are just stunned why so few are sailing these islands. All of us agree they are the most unspoilt beautiful islands we have seen in the Pacific.
Locals think stories of cyclones have scared people off plus sailors are nervous of reefs. If you can do the Tuamotos you can sail the Ha’apai! We want to buy one of these islands.
