The official anchorage is at approximately 10° 36.464′ S, 150° 39.722′ E with depths from 5-13m.
To avoid damaging the fragile reef at low tide, tie your dinghy to one of the piers rather than landing on the beach.

There are two shops in Samarai for provisioning but with very basic supplies. Felix the customs/ immigration officer was present and very efficient with our clear out. Do watch out for the unmarked rock we narrowly missed it.
I have added a note in Navionics to mark it on the chart. We had no security issues in Samarai and it’s a good place to clear in/out if you’re visiting the Louisiades.
