Acapulco - Clearance

Oct 21, 2024

See Mexico Formalities page for full details.

The yacht club can arrange clearance for a fee.

The Port Captain's office is on the main waterfront boulevard and clearly marked (Av. Costera Miguel Aleman #306). It will require taking a taxi from the marina.

Marina Santa Lucia is reported to be very helpful and can assist with appointments with the Port Captain at no charge and transport for clearance.

Clearance Formalities can be very time-consuming as the offices are spread out all over town, and the distances are great.

If coming from another Mexican port, only a visit to the Port Captain is necessary.
