Puerto Juarez - Clearance

Nov 01, 2012

See Mexico Formalities page for full details.

This is a better option for clearing into Mexico. You can ask to tie up temporarily at Marina Hacienda del Mar, just to clear in. It is located about a 1.6 kms (one mile) from the big round CIS office, part of the Puerto Juarez Capitania near the ferry terminal. Clearance takes an hour or so. Charges are about $20, the tip is about $50. You don't need an agent. They're very friendly, speak English and take credit cards.
