Clearance
The Port Capitan's office can complete the Zarpe for boats leaving the country. However, they do not have an immigration officer in Mahahual. The Port Capitan recommended hiring an agent such as Grupo TMM.
Alternatively, immigration officers can be brought from Chetumal, which is a two hour drive and cruisers would be responsible for their costs.
When cruise ships are docked in Mahahual, the immigration officers are present and it may be possible to take advantage of those times to clear out.
Note: The cruise ship dock is not available for yachts.
