Porto Santo Port - Docking

Sep 27, 2018

The marina is inside the commercial port in the NW corner, protected by two lit jetties and is easily identified by conspicuous sandy colored storage tanks to the west of the entrance. There is also a boatyard here.

This is a large sheltered port within which it is also possible to anchor or pick up a mooring ball (administered by the marina). There is a nominal charge for both, but the use of the marina facilities is included in the fee. The holding is excellent.

Water and electricity are laid on to the pontoons and there are showers at the end of the dock.

Anchoring for yachts is permitted in an area close to and W of the harbor. The holding is good in sand but is not secure with winds from the N or NW.
