The Waterford & Suir Valley Railway is a narrow gauge line that runs for 5 miles between Waterford and Kilmeaden. The panoramic views from this line are considered to be exceptional.
A must is a visit to the Waterford Crystal Factory, one and a half miles south of the city.
The annual Spraoi Festival is a lively summer street festival held in Waterford for 3 days over the August Bank Holiday.

If you head further up the Barrow river to the town of New Ross. There is the New Ross Boatyard on the West side across from the Three Sisters Marina. It has a 100-ton Travel lift a dry dock and winter storage for Yachts. Contact Michael@ 087-235-6367. Any and all repairs.
