Carlingford Lough - Docking

Aug 08, 2016

The entrance can be impassable in very strong on-shore winds, and at all times yachts must keep clear of the commercial shipping using the buoyed channel up to the busy container port of Warrenpoint.

There is a small marina at Carlingford, about halfway up the lough on the southern shore, and, near the head of the lough, pontoon berths at Warrenpoint on the northern side.
