Travemunde (Lubeck) - Docking

Feb 22, 2016

Although it is possible to berth at the Historic Ship harbor (the Hansahafen) in Lubeck, there are no facilities there.

A more pleasant option is to use one on the marinas at Travemude, or Herreninsel or Schlutup, both of which are about halfway to Lubeck.

At Travemude, Passat Hafen is the first marina just inside the river entrance on the southern bank.

The fishing harbor lies further in on the northern bank. It now has water and electricity at the box berths with toilets and showers ashore.

Next is the boatyard of Bobs and then Marina Baltica, both on the northern side of the river.

Beyond this, the river is rather industrialized.

There are good public transport connections into Lubeck.
