Flensburg - Fees

Mar 14, 2012

Description:

This attractively situated border town was once one of the most important trading ports for the ships of the West India fleet. It lies between wooded hills at the end of the Flensborg Fjord. The northern shore marks the Danish border.

The harbor marina is one of the few where it is possible to live aboard over the winter. Warm water from a nearby manufacturing plant stops the water around the berthed yachts from freezing. Winter air temperatures seldom go below -10°C.

Position:

54°48.49'N, 09°26.55'E (port entrance)
