You can access several activities (scuba, river tours, white water rafting, ...) by going to Navua, Pacific Harbour or even Sigatoka and be back in Suva the same day.
From the Tradewinds anchorage, you have several hikes which offer good panoramas. You can also dinghy quite far upriver at mid to high tide. You can also take numerous different inexpensive bus rides around different parts of Suva.
