Karpaz Gate Marina - Clearance

Karpaz Gate Marina request that yacht owners send notification of arrival a few days in advance, along with copies of passports, in order to speed up the check-in process and avoid any unnecessary delays.

General Clearance:

All yachts entering North Cyprus should fly the North Cyprus or Turkish courtesy flag and the Q flag and proceed to the Customs officials.

By day or by night, prior to entering the marina, boat owners should call the marina on VHF Channel 10 or 16 using call sign 'Karpaz Gate Marina' or by telephone on +90 533 833 7878

Karpaz Gate Marina is a Port of Entry and has Duty-Free status.

Local Cruising:

Before departing the marina to cruise locally in North Cyprus, inform the marina so they can notify the Coastguard.

International Clearance:

Clearance formalities can be completed here with Customs and Port Police offices on site.

The marina will assist with check in/out procedures so the process is hassle-free.

For short stays (mooring contract of less than 6 months), there is a charge of €70 to check in and €70 to check out.

There is no limit to the time EU and non-EU yachts can remain here.

Although the local immigration officers do not stamp passports on entrance or departure to North Cyprus, it is best to sail to Turkey before sailing to South Cyprus or Greece.   If you have any doubts about sailing to or from the TRNC, the team at Karpaz Gate Marina will help.
