Cavtat - Docking

Aug 30, 2024

There are two sheltered bays. The larger one, on the other side of the peninsula from the harbor, is free and offers good holding if you avoid large areas of seagrass.  It is not possible to clear customs from there.

Anchoring in the bay by the harbor is chargeable in high season. Reports August 2024 are 60 Euros a night. Depth is 10 to 12m.

If you stay on the dock it costs 130 Euros a night - no power or water.

Buoy fields are mainly privately (and sometimes dubiously) owned by individuals who will come out by boat as soon as you look as though you are going to pick up a mooring. Often they charge 1.5 times for a catamaran.

Occasionally you can get away with a free hour or so if you are just staying for lunch and a swim.
