A free ferry runs from the harbour at Ingalls Head to White Head Island, which can be explored by bike. Ensure you catch the last ferry back at 16:30.

Stopped in for our 4th trip to Grand Manan in July 2014 and were told that sailboats were not welcome to tie up to the wharf and should use the unprotected yellow steel mooring balls, more suitable for steel barges. The fishing industry is pretty much gone and industrial aquaculture prevails. Unfortunately, yachts should now avoid this harbor.
