The international dialing code for Belgium is +32.

The EU introduced in 2017 new rules for roaming within the EU (intended for short term trips to other European countries). Called “roam like at home”, it means that when you use your mobile phone outside of your home country (within the EU) – you don’t have to pay any additional roaming charges.

All mobile networks in Belgium are GSM networks. If your phone works with GSM an affordable option is to buy a Belgium SIM card. Alternatively, buy a European cell phone at the start of cruising European waters to avoid exorbitant roaming charges.

The major mobile phone providers in Belgium are Base, Orange, Proximus and Telenet.
