Fuel is available but only available by jerry jug on both Horn and Thursday Island.
On Horn Island fuel is available at the end of the dock at a self-service machine.
On Thursday Island, fuel is obtainable from the island's petrol station. Some taxis will take you and your fuel back to the wharf but not all. If you don't have a local SIM card, the petrol station will call a taxi for you. Local taxi driver Bryan is recommended by cruisers as being very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
